How it works

  1. Add your dates

Birthdays (add the year and the calendar prints the age), anniversaries, and school dates such as the first day, co-op days, field trips and breaks.

  2. Pick your start

August 2027 is set. Choose July, September or any other month and you get the twelve months from there, with weeks from Sunday or Monday.

  3. Download and print

A 12-page PDF on US Letter or A4. Print it at 100%, landscape, and hang it by the school table or put it at the front of your binder.

What's in the PDF

  • 12 month pages, starting the month your school year starts
  • US federal holidays in red, and days like Halloween and Mother's Day in gray
  • Your kids' birthdays on the day, with the age they turn: “Emma turns 10”
  • School dates you add, like the first day, co-op, field trips and breaks
  • A big box for every day, with room to write plans and lessons
  • US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) or A4, weeks from Sunday or Monday

A school-year calendar, not a January one

Most printable calendars run January to December, which splits a homeschool year in two. This one starts in the month your year starts and runs twelve months from there, so August to July (or July to June) is one stack of pages.

Add your school dates once: the first and last day, co-op, field trips, testing days and the first day of each break. They print on the right day, next to the holidays and the birthdays.

Plan the year on it

Before the year starts, mark the breaks you want (Thanksgiving week, two weeks at Christmas, spring break) and count the school weeks that are left. Then use our free attendance sheet to check off the days as you go.

Questions

Is the homeschool calendar free?
Yes. Make and download it as often as you like, without an account or an email address. The email signup is optional.
Can the calendar start in July or September?
Yes. August 2027 is set when the page opens; pick any start month from 2026 to 2029 and you get the twelve months from there.
Can I add school dates and breaks?
Yes, up to 80 dates. Choose “School date” for the first day, co-op, a field trip or the start of a break, and it prints on its day. Birthdays with the year born print the age the child turns.
Which holidays are included?
The US federal holidays, in red: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day. Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve are printed smaller, in gray.
Is it US Letter or A4?
Either. Choose US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) or A4 before you download; the pages are landscape. Print at 100% or “actual size” so nothing is cut off.
Can I get it printed instead?
Yes. Our wall calendar has the same dates printed in, on heavy paper with your photos or a painting for every month, and it also runs twelve months from any month you choose.
