Privacy policy

While you design

Your design, including the names and dates you add, is saved in your own browser on this device. It is not sent to us while you work.

It reaches our server only when you open the print file (PDF) to check it, which we create and do not keep, or when you go to checkout, when we store the approved design so we can print exactly that.

Photos are different: when you add a photo, it is uploaded so we can show and print it. Before it leaves your device, your browser resizes it and removes its camera information, such as location and device.

Other people’s names and dates

The birthdays and anniversaries you add usually belong to other people. We use them only to print your order. Please add only details you are comfortable having printed, and nothing sensitive.

When you order

Checkout is run by Shopify. Shopify collects your name, email, shipping address, phone number and payment details. We never see your full card details.

To print and deliver your order, we share your name, shipping address, phone number and email with our print partner, Lulu Press, Inc., which prints in the United States, the United Kingdom and other countries. The printed files contain your design.

Where your data is stored

Our website and order records run on servers at Hetzner in Finland (EU). Designs, photos and print files are stored with Cloudflare R2. Shopify and Lulu process data in the United States and other countries; where data leaves the EU or UK, they use approved safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Photos, approved designs and print files are deleted 180 days after they were uploaded or ordered. That leaves time to reprint if something went wrong in printing or delivery.

Order and payment records are kept as long as bookkeeping law requires, which in Sweden is seven years.

Cookies and tracking

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages help people and where they get stuck. It sets cookies and records pages visited, the device and browser type and an approximate location; IP addresses are not stored. Data is kept for 14 months. Visitors in Europe are asked first and nothing is measured unless they allow it; elsewhere it is on, and you can switch it off at any time with the choice below or with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

We use no advertising cookies. Your browser’s local storage keeps your draft on your device. Shopify’s checkout sets its own cookies to run the checkout; see Shopify’s privacy policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it or to delete it, and object to how we use it. Write to hello@daysmarked.com. We reply within one month.

If you are in the EU or UK and unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to your data protection authority, or to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (imy.se).
